WOW is it really October already? I can't believe it! But I sure am enjoying these cool temperatures we are having! Here's a few from today's session, what cuties! I'm sure you'll agree!

Hallie and Houston

Little girls love tea parties like peanut butter loves jelly! So when Miss Hallie came for pictures and her Mama had a tea party in mind, it didn't surprise me one bit. She is the ultimate girly girl! As for little brother, well he's all boy and he's on the move, but when he looks at you and throws this big smile at you, well you can see that it will just melt your heart! He smiled the whole time like this so he made my job easy. Hallie of course was a little angel and did a great job with her session too, she knew her reward was that yummy cookie on her plate!

August 2008

School has started and August is almost over, and this month has been filled with babies turning 1! As I look back at last year I was over flowing with newborns, and now they are having birthdays! I don't think there's ever been a time where I've had so many having birthdays in one little time frame, I am loving seeing them as they grow up and changing from babies to toddlers, it never ceases to amaze me how fast time flies and I know that all the mommies of these babies are in full agreement with me on that! Enjoy these times because all too soon they'll be skipping off to Kindergarten and you'll be wondering where your baby went! Believe me, I know all too well how fast they grow up, maybe that's why I am so passionate about capturing them while they are little because it's such a short amount of time that we have them under our wings!

I'm so excited to share this series! I LOVE these images, that pretty much sums it up, I hope to get more Mother's to agree to jumping in front of the camera with their little ones. Let these inspire you to want something as special as this with your baby from newborn up to 3 months.

Meeting little 13 day old Aidan was such a joy, his family comes to me from Plainview and I have been looking forward to his session so much. He was so good for us as we kept changing his positions and for a good portion of his session, he just kept on snoozing. Welcome to the world little man, you are a lucky little guy with a family that adores you...

July 2008

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all had a safe and fun filled Holiday weekend! We stayed home and barbecued and then drove out to Mt. Harbor and watched their fireworks show. This is the 5th year we've attended so I guess it's become our yearly tradition! Here's a fireworks shots, they never fail to impress us!

June 2008

Well, it's June and school is out and everyone is busy planning vacations and enjoying the summer, well not everyone! Some lucky families are having new babies and thinking about pictures and not vacations, so I am happy to oblige. I admit we are planning our own vacation but I always have time to do the best job in the world! Here are a couple of little angels that will surely make you smile. First is Mattie Grace, no doubt this one is gonna be a little princess and she's already gotten a good start, she was the perfect little model and seemed at ease in front of the camera! hehe, it's a good thing because she's gonna be a regular around here just like big brother is!

How could I not share her with her big brother as well! He looks like he's gonna be pretty protective huh? Gorgeous gorgeous children!

Next is tiny little Landon and big sister Laney, how sweet are these 2?

And Landon with his Mommy and with his Daddy, they are such a sweet family and we took so many pictures it's hard to know what to share, there are some beautiful family images as well as these individuals. Little Landon slept the whole time we hardly heard a peep out of him.

May 2008

Here is little Tucker, I wish I could show you all of his proofs because it's just a joy to go through them, he was such a little ham, he smiled and smiled and just had the best time, we changed his clothes probably 4 times and still he kept smiling. His Mommy said he is a good baby and I completely agree, these 2 I chose to share don't even show his smiles, but they are a couple of my favorites, I might have to go dig out another one to show his cute little smile.

Okay, here is Tucker again, he just cracks me up he's so cute!

This is Plyler and his beautiful mommy, he's grown so much since I saw him last and he's quite the little man now. He was such a joy and we got so many good images of him, I know his Mommy's having a hard time picking her favorites!

April 2008

April has been so busy I can't believe it's come and almost gone already! Here are a couple of my favorite sessions from this month, first is Chloe, and she's 8 months old. Doesn't she just make you wanna eat her up? She was such a little angel the whole time she was here, this is one of my favorite ages because they're usually so happy and not yet mobile!

Micah Claire is back and she's on the move! Her Mama said she's a climber and she ain't kidding, I think she's gonna be a little dare devil. I hear she's already taken a couple steps on her own! She's only 9 months old! Brooke, I think she's gonne keep you hoppin!

This is Holly, my last senior for 2008. She came here from Strong Arkansas for her session at Garvan Gardens. We had a great time going through the garden and taking pictures. If you have not taken your family to Garvan yet, do take time to go out there, it was just beautiful!

Happy Spring everyone! I love the Spring, seeing things pop up out of the ground, trees getting their new leaves, warmer temperatures just make me feel good! I've been uber busy around the studio and I wish I could share some from every session, I've narrowed it down to a few of my favorites from this month. This is Addison, she's 2 weeks old and is the newest member of the Lasting Treasures Family, I look forward to seeing Addison grow and capturing her memories for years to come! She was a little angel during her session and she's a lucky little girl, she's the first grandchild on both sides of her family, so her family is just ecstatic with her arrival.

I love doing maternity sessions because it is such a happy time, marking the impending birth of a new baby and each one is special to me.

I got some new angel wings in and couldn't wait to try them out, aren't they just the cutest! I'm thinking I may have to run a Limited Edition series this summer for little angels!

Hey everyone! Here are my 2 favorites from February, aren't these girls the sweetest!!! Both of them are members of my Baby Plan Program and I'm really enjoying seeing them grow! This is Micah and she's 6 months old.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Are you all as tired as I am? This year it seems like Christmas came upon us so fast, maybe because I set my deadlines later and had sessions on into December where I normally do not do that. I think that 2007 as a whole really just flew by for us, maybe because we had so many events! Whatever the case, I am looking forward to a slower paced 2008! Not less work, just less life events!
Are you one who makes a new years resolution? I'm not, I used to, but like most people, I didn't follow through with them, so I quit. This year, my hope is that we will all stay healthy and spend time doing what we love. The older I get the more I realize how fast life seems to fly by and how important it is to enjoy NOW, and enjoy the little things. My kids are growing up so fast, and it's sometimes hard to believe when I look at them. I recently watched an episode of Oprah (a rare indulgence) and her guest that day was Author Mitch Albom. The topic was "how would you spend one more day with someone you loved" so it really makes you think about what is really important. Also highlighted was the book "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" by Richard Carlson, which I plan to read. His widow and 2 daughters were guests of Oprah as well and hearing their testimony really made me stop in my tracks and realize how unimportant some things that stress me, really are. So IF I had a resolution, it would be to just live life fuller and enjoy it! How simple is that? :) What about you, do you have a New Years Resolution?

Here are a few of my favorites from the Holiday sessions, Christmas will be here before we know and I am sure you all are right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the season. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and see what I've been up to. I'm looking forward to Christmas with family and Morgan being out of school and a slower pace for a while.

I'd like to say a special "Thank You" to all of my loyal customers who have continued year after year, to allow me to watch your children grow and capture your treasured memories. I do feel truly blessed to have had the pleasure to know your families and share your children's charm for another year. I look forward to next year and what the new year brings!
